It avoids conflict and does not engage in predatory behavior.
During daylight, its wings absorb and store solar energy within internal structures. At night, this energy is released as a controlled, low-intensity glow that spreads across the surrounding canopy.
This light does not cause harm.
Where it settles, plant life experiences minor, temporary acceleration in growth. The effect is gradual and accumulates over time in regions where Morthun remains present.
Morthun possesses a defensive mechanism.
Its wings circulate a mild venom, which can be dispersed into the air as fine particles when threatened. Exposure may cause paralysis, and in weaker organisms, can result in death after prolonged contact.
It does not pursue after dispersal.
Once the threat withdraws or is neutralized, Morthun resumes passive behavior.
Morthun does not alter its environment through force.
Its presence influences surrounding vegetation indirectly over extended periods.
