Gorveth - The Living Stone | Eternal Ascendance

 Gorveth

A massive stone-bodied Gorveth with fractured rock layers standing within a rocky cave environment

Gorveth is a large stone-bodied creature found in rocky regions, cave systems, and mineral-rich terrain. Some are also present near lava pools, where exposed deposits are easier to access.

Its body is formed from compacted stone, fractured rock, and dense mineral layers that grow over time. When motionless, it is often indistinguishable from surrounding terrain. It is frequently mistaken for rock devourers.

They feeds on minerals, stone, metal fragments, and crystal deposits are broken down and absorbed into its structure, reinforcing its body as it ages. Its movement is tied to resource availability rather than constant activity.

It inhabits caves and enclosed formations where minerals are abundant and movement can be controlled.

Gorveth is territorial.

It does not move often, but when it does, the ground shifts with it. Surfaces compact, stone displaces, and footing becomes unstable for anything within its range.

It does not rely on speed.

It advances with stability.

When another creature enters its range, Gorveth uses mana to create stone and disrupt movement—raising jagged formations, collapsing paths, and restricting escape rather than pursuing directly.

It does not leave its territory.

If something escapes its range, it stops.

Most do not.
